So it started on Saturday.
When the names were being read out for detention. Mine was there, because of the time I was late for rugby…This was the worst
time for this because there was this social with a disco and everything.
So the person reading this out loud was the assistant housemaster and I asked him why my name was there. I also explained that I was told Mr. House master had sorted it. he had no email or message explaining this… the horror I felt.
I had to go to dinner so he messaged Mr Housemaster while I had the most horrifying dinner I have had. so after dinner it was time to go up… If he had no message or email I would need to get changed into uniform and go to detention. if he did I could get changed into school trousers and my base ball jumper which is black and white (the dress code for the Disco) so … I came back it was…
Well.
It was quite…
lovely… coming back to hear him say that I was allowed to go to the social.
and wow the social was kind of dead when I got there. there was music blasting and there were three groups just on their phones and I could see it was super sad and I remember how lucky I am to be here. so I was not going to let this slide. and so when I started dancing in front of the DJ and getting the attention it began taking off. I enjoyed dancing. I have one really good memory of just dancing, surrounded by girls screaming and having fun. and the social was exhausting. and in the end, I had a great time. I will make sure I really thank Mr. Housemaster when I can.
I have a large amount of tuck compared to most it seems to have a nickname (the Holy grail) I have had my dorm mate trying to buy some off of me which I refuse profusely. It is my special tuck and makes me happy to eat during prep and gaming (If I have time to). I am being kept busy here (like really busy). I at one point I was bored during prep because I had worked during my free time (I some times feel like Hamilton with the amount of work I do). There is meant to be an English lesson spent only in the library where you only read (which is my favourite lesson really) and in maths, I feel challenged but it is not impossible. I also feel that I am second best in the French compared to a girl who I sit next to.
I am trying as hard as I can.
I really am enjoying Drama and I will try dance another time. not quite yet I also think that they want experienced dancers which is a bit rubbish I feel. But I want to try and convince other wise. but another day because I have been really busy and would struggle doing dance as well. maybe later.
I have also had the idea of working in the first aid service where they stand to the side of rugby fields to help people who manage to break their arms and legs. And learn a lot about first aid and a bit of paramedic training. I have been inspired by the first aid training for my ISC activities on a Thursday (I am unsure what ISC means and it might come to me some other time). There is at some point a chance for some services to work together lets say the fire brigade are getting people out of a building and the first aid people are helping keep them safe and alive. It all is a real adventure.
This is Oliver Signing out.
