I am afraid that I am rather unfortunately intoxicated.

I am trying very hard to stay sensible enough to write a proper diary entry but I have got to say that at the moment it is not lo0oking promising.

]Today did not air all go the way it was supposed too go. As you know we had got all sorts of plans for camper van reconstruction activities, but somehow it just did not hooper as it should have done..

We went over to Booths this morning and spent top much.

After that Mark went to the fair and I stayed at home to bake bus its. It is an anxious and exciting g day because Number One Daugjhtern and here other half have buzzed off to Madrid today for their exciting competition. This is called Regionals ands she will be competing against other people from Europe, because we are still in it at the moment.

It has been an exciting day all round because Number Two Daughter’s CRB check finally arrived this afternoon and I rushed into Kendal to take it to the council.

Mark is growing a large willie on my office windowsill. I think it is embarrassing the n you look in through the window from outside but he is insisting that it is fine, but it looks ridiouclous

I don’t think I write very well when I have been having red wine adventures.

I will explain all about it in the next entry and am sorry I am being rubbish today.

I am very happy and love my exciting family.

I will try again tomorrow.

LATER NOTE:

In fact I have now sobered up and am feeling rather better. We decided under the circumstances it was better not to go to work and  stayed at home to watch the last episodes of Downton Abbey which incidentally were rubbish, we thought the footman should have got himself a nice boyfriend and nobody cared if Lady Mary got married or not, her sister should have smacked her on the nose.

We watched Downton Abbey and ate pasta and chocolate and peanut fudge and once we had walked the dogs I thought it might be an idea to come upstairs and edit my diary entry before I shared it with you, and almost deleted it completely, but then decided that it was getting a bit late to start explaining the day from scratch, and so I would let it stand with just a few clarifications.

The most important clarification which I am glad not to have allowed through without some explanation is Mark’s growth on the windowsill. This was intended to be an entertaining account of the sweet potato which he has put in a jar of water on my office windowsill in order to inspire it to produce leaves and roots, the purpose for which is unclear. Viewed from outside in the garden it is quite a startling object, a photograph of which is attached below, however the story does not entirely bear retelling. In fact I would have deleted it from the entire entry, apart from the inspiring discovery that I may have found a means by which I can persuade photographs to reappear for everybody’s benefit, and so have left it attached by means of a happy ever after.

Really it would be wiser to leave days of alcohol consumption blank.

I did not get to the farm, what with a series of domestic crises, and have decided that the best thing to do about today is to have it again tomorrow. I shall start again tomorrow morning and hopefully things will work out rather better.
